Jan Kempdorp Golf Club

Established in 1975, Jan Kempdorp  Golf Club is a proud sporting landmark in Jan Kempdorp, a vibrant agricultural town set in the lush Vaalharts Irrigation Scheme, just an hour’s drive from Kimberley in the Northern Cape.

Their scenic 9-hole course is a true Northern Cape gem — lined with majestic Camelthorn trees, home to a rich variety of birdlife, and often graced by roaming antelope. It’s a place where nature, sport, and community meet.

Over the decades, they’ve grown into more than just a sports venue — they’re a hub for local events, social gatherings, and unforgettable tournaments. One of their flagship events is the Kameeldoring Classic, held every September, attracting players and visitors from across the region for three days of competition, camaraderie, and top-class hospitality.

Their facilities include a welcoming clubhouse, a fully stocked bar, and a newly built boma — perfect for relaxed gatherings and outdoor functions under the Northern Cape sky.
