The KATBATT Golf Cart batteries are designed and manufactured locally in Kirkwood close to Port Elizabeth. We manufacture our golf cart batteries with the 26cm dimension of the older golf cart lead acid batteries in mind. This enables the KATBATT batteries to be fitted as a single drop-in solution that is simple to install! Please note some golf carts will not accommodate this longer design and it is the owner or installer’s responsibility to confirm this.

Charging your 48V Golf Cart Lithium Battery

It is important to use the correct Lithium charger to charge your new Golf Cart Lithium battery. KATBATT’s 10A 56.8V charger charges your battery to 56.8V to allow the SOC to be reset and charged to 100%.

Using a Lead Acid charger on your Lithium Battery will result in:

• Battery SOC will not reach 100% and will keep decreasing as the Lead Acid chargers does not charge to 56.8V to fully charge and reset the battery SOC to 100%.
• Battery cells will not reach the balancing voltage of 55.2V to allow for cell balancing.
