50Ah 48V Golf Cart Batteries
The KATBATT 48V Golf Cart Batteries are designed and manufactured locally in Kirkwood close to Port Elizabeth. We manufacture our golf cart batteries with the 26cm dimension of the older golf cart lead acid batteries in mind. This enables the KATBATT batteries to be fitted as a single drop-in solution that is simple to install!
This 50Ah packs a punch with its high-performance LiFePO4 cells, but if you are looking for something a little bit bigger, the 75Ah 48V Golf Cart Lithium battery is what you are looking for!

Charging your 48V Golf cart Battery
It is important to use the correct Lithium charger to charge your new 48V Golf Cart Batteries. KATBATT’s 10A 56.8V charger charges your battery to 56.8V to allow the SOC to be reset and charged to 100%.
Using a Lead Acid charger on your Lithium Battery will result in:
- Battery SOC will not reach 100% and will keep decreasing as the Lead Acid chargers do not charge to 56.8V to fully charge and reset the battery SOC to 100%.
- Voiding of your Battery warranty
Battery cells will not reach the balancing voltage of 55.2V to allow for cell balancing.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your charge plug fitted to your golf cart must be connected to your new lithium battery directly, not through a relay or other disconnecting device as these devices were relevant for lead acid and is not to be used between your lithium charger and lithium battery. A 30A fuse is recommended between the charge plug and your battery.

This battery is by far the easiest to fit physically, since the width is exactly 260mm which is the same as the tray size of the old lead acid batteries. It makes it a breeze to fit in any cart with any battery compartment. Connection is straightforward with a 12v converter included for lights and accessories.
